Billion SDGs Multi-Stars Seed Project x Enjoying Reading Project x Wulai Elementary School
26 November 2024
Billion Group's ESG volunteer team began a new journey and came to the beautiful Wulai Elementary School to continue to promote the SDGs Multi-Stars Seed Projects, integrating green energy and sustainability concepts into campus life. Wulai Elementary School is famous for its natural environment, which provides a unique scene for learning about environmental protection and caring for the earth.
In this activity, volunteers led the children to learn about the operating principles and applications of green energy, including clean energy such as solar, wind, hydro and geothermal, and discussed the impact of traditional energy sources on the environment. Through interesting interactions and real cases, the children deepened their understanding and recognition of environmental issues.
Volunteer member Monica Wang said, "We hope that through concrete explanations, children can understand the advantages of renewable energy, and develop environmental awareness in their daily lives, such as how solar energy is transformed into electricity, how wind energy can power generators, and these learning will help them to be more proactive in protecting the earth."
Volunteer member Julia Chen also mentioned, “In addition to learning about green energy, we also hope to inspire children to practice energy conservation and carbon reduction in their daily lives, such as reducing unnecessary electricity consumption or choosing green transportation modes, so that the concept of environmental protection can take root in everyone’s each day."
There was also a Q&A session for the children to reinforce key points through interaction, such as distinguishing between clean and polluting energy, understanding how solar panels work, and the technical application of wind power generation.
Billion Group has always been committed to promoting the value of energy conservation, carbon reduction and green energy, and hopes that through this event, it will not only plant the seeds of sustainability in the hearts of the children of Wulai Elementary School, but also cultivate more practitioners and advocates of environmental protection actions for the future society.

On June 13, at Wanxing Elementary School in Taipei, Billion Group continued to a journey of environment exploration. The event was introduced by a campus teacher who had advocated for, aiming to cultivate children's awareness of energy conservation and inject new energy into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through the sharing of vivid and interesting picture books, this event explained the basic concepts of Taiwan's electric energy, the importance of renewable energy generation, and the challenges and solutions to deal with climate change to children. The Multi-Stars Reading Project allows students to actively participate in the Q&A session, share their ideas, ask questions, and explore the future of green energy. This interaction not only enriches the children's knowledge, but also arouses their interest and concern for environmental energy. Renewable energy sources such as solar and wind energy are important tools for maintaining the ecological balance of the planet. These energy sources are endless, and their use does not produce greenhouse gas emissions, which is essential for slowing down climate change and protecting the environment. Through the introduction of the scarcity of renewable energy, the students were able to understand the importance of cherishing and saving the use of electricity. Billion Group continues to build a more sustainable future foundation in each child's heart, instilling in them a positive attitude towards the environment, and enabling them to show more positive energy when facing the challenges of climate. This event is not only to raise the awareness of environmental protection among children, but also to encourage future generations to actively participate in environmental protection actions.
