Billion 3G/4G Industrial Router Has Passed UL Class I Division 2 Certification

Featuring 3G/4G broadband connection, dual-WANs, RS-232 serial port, and powerful VPN with fully automatic failover/failback, M100 enables high-speed remote monitor/control and reliable Internet connectivity in hazardous locations where such Oil & Gas fields are located.
Designed for Oil & Gas sector which requires high connection reliability and high availability, Billion M100, a compact 3G/4G industrial router, supports wide temperature range from -20 to 60º C (-4 to 140º F) and flexible input voltage range of 9-56V DC. By receiving the certification of UL Class I Division 2, M100 is ignition & explosion proof and can operate in hazardous environments where fire or explosive hazards may exist due to flammable gasses and vapors.
Installed next to pipeline SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) equipment which can monitor and collect the critical information such as pressure, flow, and potential leaks of each pipeline, M100 serves as a communication device by directly supporting SCADA via its RS-232 serial port. Supporting serial communication with Modbus, a master-slave protocol, M100 can services as a reliable transmission backbone and deliver pipeline monitoring information to the central console without any interruption.
M100 ensures a seamless Internet connectivity by featuring superior failover/failback between Ethernet WAN and 3G/4G wireless; it also supports a variety of VPN protocols including IPSec/PPTP/L2TP/GRE/OpenVPN to ensure that the monitoring data can be encrypted and protected when being transmitted on an open network. “By utilizing the Billion M100, our system integration customers can receive instant pipeline information to make critical operational decisions, and thereby save significant labor patrol cost through the remote management of different machinery equipment across the entire Oil & Gas field”, said Ted Ho, Chief Technology Officer of Billion Electric Co.
