What are “Block Java Applet” and “Block ActiveX” in URL Filter?

Java Applet and ActiveX are very useful tools to perform the functions for the user to make the browsing more easily and friendly. But some hackers might embed malicious code in them to intrude your system, “Block Java Applet” and “Block ActiveX” will be able to disable all such functions to prevent the attacks. Once the options are enabled, the user will no longer be able to open any files with sub file names as “.js”, “.class”, “.ocx” or “.cab” in the html. This can make the user stay way from malicious code, Trojan horse, virus or worm that might be executed through the codes. But at the same time, the normal pages with Java Applet or ActiveX codes inside will not be displayed.
