(Taiex: #3027) today announces shipment of the World's first ADSL security gateway product, myGuard 7500GL, which is integrated with Trend Micro Home Network Security. To guard Billion's router users with comprehensive network security, Billion adds on security services provided by Trend Micro, including security scan, anti-virus, anti-spam, parental control, anti-hacker, anti-spyware, and privacy protection. In addition, the features of 802.11g Wireless Protected Access, Firewall, and Virtual Private Network (VPN) built in myGuard 7500GL makes the product a perfect all-in-one router pack. Its advantages of single device for faster broadband access and easy-to-use single-point security enable Billion's router users to reduce the cost and free of installation hassle for security software while enjoying high-speed Internet access. Trend Micro Home Network Security, integrated with myGuard 7500GL, is offered at 60-day free evaluation to Billion's router users, after which, on-line subscription is required.

Upon activating the Internet access from myGuard 7500GL, the router will launch security scan and assess potential weak points in router user' PC and their home network. The first Internet connection also automatically links to Trend Micro's server allowing router users to activate the Trend Micro Home Network Security service. The first 60 days of use is offered free of charge, so myGuard users are able to evaluate one of the world's leading security software services and protect their PCs and entire home network by blocking viruses, hackers, spyware, and other Internet security threats. After the free trial period, an on-line subscription is needed to continue using Trend Micro Home Network Security.

Trend Micro Home Network Security combines advanced technology built into Billion's myGuard ADSL router with award-winning Trend Micro Internet security services—providing seamless, easy-to-use security for the entire home network. This comprehensive solution protects against viruses, hackers, spyware, spam, and other Internet security threats. The built-in Security Scan feature and automatic security updates ensure the home network is protected against the latest outbreaks and vulnerabilities.

myGuard 7500GL protects router users' PC and home network. It also enables office or home users to set Internet access policy by keying keywords or domain names of websites, and setting a performance time schedule. In addition, parents or caregivers are allowed to monitor children's or users' web activity by blocking websites based on keywords and categories.

Moreover, myGuard 7500GL builds in comprehensive network security: With NAT natural Firewall, the router also provides advanced hacker pattern-filtering protection. It can automatically detect and block Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. Built in Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) to determine whether or not a data packet is allowed past through the firewall to the private LAN.

Secure and cost- saving VPN connections are built in for SOHO users. The router supports embedded VPN protocols, including PPTP client/server, IPSec (IKE, 3DES and AES) and L2TP within IPSec, for establishing a private encrypted tunnel over the public Internet to ensure transmission security between two or more sites. With built-in and hardware based DES/3DES accelerator, the router enhances the IPSec VPN performance significantly.

Advanced 802.11g Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) technology enables extreme secured mobility of broadband access. 802.11g WPA feature increases the level of data protection and access control for Wireless LAN.
