Billion’s BiPAC 7404VGP wins the “Atomic Hot Performance Award”
from Australia’s Atomic MPC magazine

Taipei, Taiwan - Billion Electric Co. Ltd. (Taiex: 3027) has been awarded the “Atomic Hot Performance Award” for its BiPAC 7404VGP VoIP 802.11g ADSL2+ Firewall Router. The award was presented by Australia’s Atomic: Maximum Power Computing magazine and is based on the results of the ADSL2+ Modem Test which features in the November 2006 issue.

Atomic magazine reviewed eight ADSL2+ modems from various manufacturers, and products were ranked according to a number of criteria. The article states that “the BiPAC 7404VGP gets top marks for a clean interface and the most configurable options.” In the real-life test of performance up to two kilometers from the exchange, the BiPAC 7404VGP also outperforms the others greatly with an average downstream speed of 1.5MB/s attained, when setting the “coding gain” feature to the maximum level, according to Atomic magazine.

This is the second time that the Billion BiPAC 7404VGP has been awarded by the Australian publication. Previously, the product was honored as the “Editor’s Choice” by APC magazine. “I’m very glad to see that the BiPAC 7404VGP was recognized with the “Atomic Hot Award” by Atomic MPC magazine in Australia.
