Billion’s BiPAC 7404VGD was awarded “Computex Live Test Center Award 2006”
from the PC Professionell magazine
Billion Electric Co. Ltd. (Taiex: #3027), a leading network equipment provider from Asia Pacific rim, today announced the Computex Taipei 2006 exhibition was successfully ended with “Computex 2006 Award” for the BiPAC 7404VGD (VoIP 802.11g ADSL2+ Firewall Router), granted by PC Professionell - the well-known computer magazine in Germany. According to the statistics, the total number of visitors to Billion’s stand this year gains a growth by 34.5% compared to 2005. 57% of the total visitors came from Asia and 14% from the U.S., while the top inquiring products were VoIP ADSL2+ Router, SSL VPN security gateway. The latest IPTV gateway series also drew substantial attention. Particularly, Billion received a number of visitor inquiries from emerging countries such as Brazil, India, and South America.
The PC Professionell magazine set up a “Live Test Lab” on-site to review the most up-to-date products during Computex Taipei 2006. In the shortlist of 20 selected products for Computex Award, Billion’s BiPAC 7404VGD is the winner in the Network category within a total of 5 categories. The BiPAC 7404VGD VoIP IAD supports the latest ADSL2+ standard and VoIP calls with professional functionalities. The world-leading Gateway feature “Least Cost Routing” enables users to choose the most economical rate of VoIP calls provided by different Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSP). The most unique feature of this device is the additional FXO port, enabling auto-failover to the ISDN line for the Internet access whenever the ADSL connection fails.
