BiPAC 7100SV to address home users' growing need for cost-effective application

Taipei, Taiwan - Billion Electric Co. Ltd. (Taiex: #3027) announces new ADSL router products in Computex Taipei 2004 for residential users : BiPAC 7100SV, a SIP-protocol standard router, which enables cost-effective voice calls over ADSL, and more 802.11g wireless ADSL routers - BiPAC 7500GL and BiPAC 7100SG - known for its key features of 802.11g Wireless Access Point with Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), VPN and Firewall.

BiPAC 7100SV supports cost-effective, toll-quality voice calls over the Internet. It complied with the most popular industrial standards, SIP protocol, to ensure the interoperability with major VoIP Gateways. It offers one RJ-11 FXS port for connecting to regular telephones, allowing users to surf the Internet and talk on the phone simultaneously. In addition, this VoIP ADSL router also supports call waiting, call transfer, call forward, mid-call DTMF, silence suppression, voice activity detection (VAD), comfort noise generation (CNG), line echo cancellation, caller ID (Bell 202, V23) and so on. Along with the built-in NAT natural firewall feature, BiPAC 7100SV provides advanced hacker pattern-filtering protection.

Added in Wireless ADSL Router series, BiPAC 7100SG and BiPAC 7500GL are announced for its key features of 802.11g Wireless Access Point with Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), VPN and Firewall. The Wireless data rate at 54Mbps, WPA enhances the level of data protection and access control for Wireless LAN. Both models are designed for home users with embedded 2 VPN tunnels via IPSec VPN protocol (IKE, 3DES and DES) for establishing a private encrypted tunnel to ensure data transmission security over the public Internet. BiPAC 7100SG provides 1 Ethernet port, while BiPAC 7500GL makes itself more suitable for P2P game users or SOHO users through excellent Quality of Service feature, which enables users full control over any type of outgoing data traffic at priority done by the router, ensuring important data like gaming packets, customer information, or management information moving through the router at lightning speed, even under heavy load.
