Billion in Australia top of broadband pops second year running

Billion today announces that BILLION brand is named as Australia's most popular modem brand for the second year running in the 2007 Australian Broadband Survey, held by tech-savvy site Whirlpool.

According to the survey, Billion devices were used by 23.7 per cent of the nearly 18,000 people* who responded to the online survey, which was conducted over four weeks from December 31, 2007, to February 1, 2008.

Whereas last year, Billion was a narrow winner in the Broadband Survey hardware category, this year's result made it a clear winne r- with nearly twice the penetration of the second*placed brand, D-Link, which was used by just 12.2 per cent of survey respondents.

Six Billion broadband modems were included among the 19 devices listed by the Australian Broadband Survey, which is published at http://whirlpool.net.au/survey/2007/.
