Billion tops broadband survey for third year in a row
【 March 4, 2009 】Broadband device supplier Billion has cemented its reputation as Australia’s leading broadband modem brand after topping the Australian Broadband Survey for the third year in a row. Held by tech-savvy site Whirlpool, the Australian Broadband Survey for 2008 was completed and verified a total of 19,763 times during four weeks from December 31, 2008, to February 1, 2009.
Billion topped the hardware table, with 23.6 per cent of respondents nominating it as their broadband modem brand. For the second successive year, Billion was nearly twice as popular as the next placed brand, which was 12.1 per cent. Seven Billion routers were among the 23 models listed in the survey. More than 90 per cent of Billion users described themselves as satisfied or very satisfied with its performance. Billion’s success in the Australian Broadband Survey followed hot on the heels of another accolade, where it was awarded the PC Authority 2008 Service and Reliability Award for Best Wireless Router in November last year. That award was based on a survey of more than 20,000 respondents.
Billion broadband products are distributed through a national reseller network by PC Range.
